Teens: Please join us for the online book discussion of Uglies by Scott Westerfeld.

In a future world in which a compulsory operation at sixteen wipes out physical differences and makes everyone pretty by conforming to an ideal standard of beauty.
The fast-moving story is enlivened by many action sequences in the style of video games, intriguing inventions, and bungee jackets that make wild downward plunges survivable. Teens will be entranced, and the cliffhanger ending will leave them gasping for the sequel.

Sensational Science

Experiment, plan, build, and compute! This program is open to anyone in middle or high school, presented in collaboration with Boy Scouts of America and their initiative to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) to scouts and non-scouts, guys and girls. Please pre-register for this sensational program! Registration is not required.

Teens are invitied to play Wii & PlayStation games, as well as board games. If you want, participate in a tournament, too.

Being a reanimated corpse was never this much fun! Teens are invited to join the undead at Dyer-Schererville Library as we remake ourselves into zombies, perfect our zombie walk, work on our undead survival skills, and enjoy some horrifying snacks. Registration required.

This wacky comedy of errors stars a perfectly normal high school girl who has a crush on her schoolmate. When she finally builds up the courage to confesses her feelings to the boy of her dreams, she somehow signs on to work as his assistant!
